How a leak job runs

Listen, mark, open, fix, restore. In that order, every time.

Most plumbers start digging and hope. Masters of Disasters was built on finding the leak first. These are their own crew's photos, in the order a job actually happens.

Listen

The leak is found before a shovel comes off the van.

Electronic leak detection listens for escaping water through soil, slab and drywall. A camera goes inside the pipe when the line is buried deep, and a pressure test proves the line is losing water. The evaluation is free, and you hear what we found before anything is priced.

Mark

One spot gets marked, not the whole yard.

Once the source is pinned down, utilities are located and the dig is laid out around the leak itself. Customers mention the same thing again and again: the crew handles the line marking and the permits, so the homeowner is not left calling around.

Open

A narrow trench where the line actually runs.

Their own machines dig the trench, sized to the pipe, not to the job ticket. Gas lines, water lines and sewer lines all go in the ground this way across Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville and the farms between.

Fix

The line is repaired, tested and signed off.

Repairs are made at the meter, at the house or anywhere between, then pressure tested before the hole is closed. On a full replacement they get the city out to inspect and sign off, so the paperwork is finished when the crew leaves.

Restore

Then the place goes back the way it was.

Landscaping goes back where it was, and inside the house the same crew finishes the bathroom, the tankless heater or the fixture they came for. One customer put it simply: you can hardly tell they were ever here.

  1. A yellow water line laid in a fresh trench running across a back yard to a house

    Water line, meter to house

“Tim came out quickly, gave a fair quote and ensured me that they would get the job done for that price, no matter what, and they did even when the original plan didn't work out.”

The old line was replaced from the meter to the house because of the age and material of the pipe. Utility marking, permits and the city's sign-off were all handled by the crew.

    Line replaced the next day

“Other companies didn't even show up, Masters of Disaster was here the next day! They did an amazing job even putting landscaping items back where they were and relocating a bush that was in the way.”

He had called at least seven plumbers trying to get the line replaced. Niaha and his crew were upfront on price and held true to their quote.

  3. A long trench cut through a wooded lot with a yellow line laid along the bottom

Open trenches on a working farm

“With curious animals nearby and open trenches being dug, they paid attention to their surroundings and made sure our animals weren't put in a situation where they could accidentally step into a trench or get hurt.”

Will, Dean and Cedric kept working the problems that came up as the job went on, and reminded the owner more than once that they were neighbors.

Yes. Water line replacement is a large part of our work. Customers tell us we handle everything from utility line marking to permits and getting the city out to inspect and sign off on the repair, and that we put the yard back when we are done.

Often, yes. A sewer liner restores a cracked, leaking or aging sewer pipe from the inside, which reduces the need for major excavation under the yard, driveway or landscaping. We inspect the line first to see whether lining or a dig repair is the right fix.
