Gas & Sewer Line Repair in Northwest Arkansas

Gas lines, sewer lines and the water line from the meter to your house. We find the problem first, dig where it is, and test before anything goes back in service.

Chapter 01

Gas lines: repair, replacement and appliance hookups

Gas work at Masters of Disasters covers repairs and replacements of the line itself, plus the hookups that go on the end of it: a gas oven or range top, a pool heater, an outdoor kitchen, a generator. Each one is a different load on the same system, and each one needs the line behind it to be sound.

Gas piping is not a place to guess. A new appliance or a longer run changes how much gas the line has to carry, and a joint that was fine for a small range can be the weak point once a generator or a pool heater is added. That is why the job starts with looking at what is already in the ground and in the wall, not with a parts list.

Before anything is relit, a gas line is tested. The pipe is checked for leaks at the joints and connections while it is still accessible, so a problem shows up on the gauge and not in your kitchen. It is the one step nobody should skip, and it is the reason a gas job is not a quick swap.

Sewer lines: finding what is wrong before digging

On the sewer side the crew handles sewer line repairs and replacements, repiping services, and clearing clogged drains and sewer lines. When a drain keeps backing up, the clog is often the symptom and the pipe is the problem, so the work is leak and break detection with camera inspections, not only a snake down the line.

A camera shows what the pipe actually looks like: a crack, a belly where water sits, roots working in at a joint. Smoke testing is the second tool. Smoke pushed through the line shows up wherever the pipe is open to the outside, which finds breaks a camera cannot always reach.

If the line can be lined instead of dug, that is worth knowing before a bucket touches your yard. Their sewer liner work is covered on its own page, and a camera inspection is how either path starts. See the details on the Sewer Liners page.

Chapter 03

Water line replacement, from the meter to the house

When an old water line fails, replacing it from the meter to the house is a bigger job than a leak repair, and the age and material of the pipe usually decide it. One customer needed exactly that: a new line from the meter to the house because of the age and material of the old pipe.

A replacement is more than a trench. Underground utility lines have to be marked before anyone digs. The work needs permits, and the city has to come out to inspect and sign off on the repair. On that job, the crew handled the line marking, the permits and the city inspection themselves.

A good water line job also ends with the yard put back. Plants that were in the way get moved, landscaping items go back where they were, and the trench is closed and left tidy. If you are not sure whether your problem is the line or something inside the house, the leak detection page explains how they find it first.

“They handled everything from utility line marking to permits and getting the city out to inspect and sign off on the repair.” McCoy K, Google review
